Queer Your Way — One Day Workshop

Queer Your Way

A day to actually do the work, not just hear about it

You’ve heard the framework. This is where you sit with it. A full day gives you the room a five minute story never can: space to name what’s actually yours, make peace with it, and start building a life around it instead of around what’s kept you safe or convenient.

01. Awareness

Name what’s actually true for you, underneath what you’ve been told is true. Before you can build anything, you have to know what you’re building around.

02. Acceptance

Make peace with what you find, without needing it to look like anyone else’s version. Acceptance isn’t a finish line, it’s the ground you build the rest on.

03. Action

Start building a life around what’s actually yours, instead of around what kept you safe or convenient in the past. This is where the day turns into next steps you can actually take.

Queer Your Way has two meanings, and both are welcome in this room. The first is exactly what it sounds like: being queer, being trans, on your own terms, not someone else’s. The second is bigger. It’s about queering your way of life, stepping outside whatever box you were handed, whether that box came from your family, your industry, or just what everybody around you decided was normal.

You don’t have to be queer to have spent your whole life being told which parts of you were acceptable to bring into a room. If you’ve ever felt like you didn’t quite fit the box you were supposed to fit, this day is for you too.

Come spend the day building a life that’s actually yours
