The False Dichotomy: Why I’m Both a Coach AND a Consultant

“Are you a coach or a consultant?”

It’s a question I hear often, and my answer might surprise you: Yes, both.

The truth is, I don’t just do both—I am both. Whether I’m facilitating a workshop, consulting on DEI initiatives in your organization, or working one-on-one with my coaching clients, I’m always drawing from both my coaching experience and my consulting expertise. These aren’t separate hats I put on depending on the day; they’re integrated parts of who I am professionally.

Why the Integration Matters

At my core, I believe that effective change—whether personal or organizational—requires both the strategic thinking of consulting and the transformational approach of coaching. When we work together, you don’t have to choose between analytical problem-solving and personal growth. You get both, seamlessly woven together.

I can’t separate these two sides of myself, and honestly, why would I want to? The combination creates something more powerful than either approach alone. My consulting background brings structure, strategy, and systems thinking to every coaching conversation. My coaching skills bring empathy, active listening, and transformational questioning to every consulting engagement.

What This Means for You

When you work with me, you’re getting the best of both worlds. You’re getting someone who can:

  • See the big picture while also focusing on your individual journey
  • Analyze systems and processes while honoring the human experience within them
  • Provide strategic guidance while empowering you to find your own answers
  • Challenge your thinking while supporting your growth

Ready to Experience Both?

Speaking of working together, I’m excited to share that I’m relaunching my coaching practice and opening up new 1:1 coaching spots. I’m currently offering a package of 6 sessions for $600—an investment in both your personal and professional development.

These sessions are built around my EQUIP process, designed to foster:

  • Connection (with yourself and others)
  • Growth (personal and professional)
  • Acceptance (of where you are while moving toward where you want to be)
  • Empowerment (to create the change you seek)

Let’s Talk

If any of this resonates with you—or someone you know—I’d love to connect. Because sometimes the most powerful question isn’t “coach or consultant?” but rather “what becomes possible when you have both?”

Ready to get equipped for your next chapter? Let’s talk.
